Editorial Policy

This page explains how Casual Seek decides what to publish, how we research costs and decisions, and what we do when we get something wrong. It applies to every article on the site. Casual Seek is operated by Inter Media Digital Marketing LLC.

What We Publish, and Why

Casual Seek publishes cost-and-decision explainers: articles that take one household decision and lay out what it costs, what drives the cost, and how the realistic options compare. We pick topics where the numbers are findable and the decision is genuinely confusing, mostly in personal finance, home essentials, health and wellness costs, everyday tech, and insurance. We are not a product-review site. We rarely name one product to buy; when a specific product or service appears, it is there to illustrate a price range or a trade-off, and its maker had no say in the matter.

How We Research

We want to be honest about what our research is and is not. For a typical article we work from primary published sources: government and regulator pages, official program documents, insurer and lender materials, manufacturer specifications, retailer listings, and published price research. We prefer the source document over a summary of it. When sources disagree on a figure, we compare several and say so, or give the range instead of picking the flattering number. We treat marketing claims as claims until something independent supports them.

We do not test products in a lab, we do not mystery-shop insurers, and we do not have private data. If an article describes hands-on experience, it is because someone had it; if it does not say that, assume the work behind it is careful reading and arithmetic. We think reading and arithmetic done honestly are worth a great deal, and we would rather tell you exactly what we did than imply more.

Costs change. Every figure reflects what we found at the time of writing, and for anything you are about to spend money on, check the current number with the provider before you commit.

What We Refuse to Do

• No sponsored rankings. No company can pay to be included, ranked, recommended, or mentioned favorably, and brands do not see articles before publication.
• No urgency. We do not use countdowns, expiring offers, or act-now framing. A good decision survives being slept on.
• No miracle claims. Nothing here cures, guarantees, or transforms. If a claim sounds too good, our job is to check it, not repeat it.
• No professional advice. Articles about money, insurance, or health are general information. We are writers and researchers, not licensed advisers, and we say so rather than hedge.

Who Writes Casual Seek

Articles are written by a small in-house team publishing under pen names. Here is what a pen name on this site does and does not mean:

• The writers are real. Each pen name belongs to one real person who does the research and writing behind the byline. Pen names are not shared and are not attached to work their writer did not do.
• The names claim nothing. A pen name here never claims credentials, professions, or qualifications. There are no invented author photos and no fake social profiles, because inventing either would cross from privacy into deception. Author pages describe what each writer covers and how they verify it, not who they legally are.
• The accountability is ours. Every article is edited and checked in-house before publication. If an article is wrong, the responsibility sits with Inter Media Digital Marketing LLC as publisher, not with a name.

We use pen names for one reason: they let careful writers work without tying their legal identities to everything they publish. They are never used to manufacture expertise, and nothing on this site asks you to trust a byline instead of checking a source.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it. If you find an error in any article, a wrong figure, an outdated rule presented as current, a claim that does not hold, email info@intermediadm.com with a link to the article and what needs fixing. We verify, correct the article, and log substantive corrections on our corrections page. You do not need to prove the error; pointing at it is enough. Corrections are the highest-priority mail we get.

Advertising Independence

Casual Seek is supported by advertising. Advertisers have no influence on which topics we cover, what the numbers say, or what we conclude, and we do not consider whether a topic is good for advertising before writing about it. If serving an advertiser ever conflicted with serving the reader, the reader wins.
